Paint the Path Pink - March 5th, 2011

The weekend before the march on Austin regarding Texas education issues, my family participated in the 4th annual Paint the Path Pink hosted by the Passionately Pink teachers of Mitchell Intermediate.  The event is a 3 mile walk and 5K run to raise money for breast cancer awareness, education, and research.

We had a record turn out and is very touching to see the outpouring of support from the community.  An even greater blessing is that my mom and dad drove from out of town to participate with me, and my husband's family joined in as well.

Here are some of the highlights.

Paint the Path Pink

The Passionately Pink teachers of Mitchell Intermediate hosted a fundraiser walk today to help raise money for the Avon Foundation to support Breast Cancer research, assistance, and awareness. I was blown away by the amount of participation and support from our students, their families, the community, and other feeder schools. Thank you so much too all who participated, donated, or helped!

My mother-in-law (Kay), sister-in-law (Jill), and JoAnn (aunt-in-law) :), came to walk this morning. Dustin and Isaiah surprised us and showed up to walk with us when Isaiah's flag football game was canceled. Lily (my new dog) walked too.
