I finally received the news I have been waiting for. The school I interviewed with is going with another applicant. I know that God is in control and that I am where I am supposed to be. However, I would be dishonest if I said that I was not disappointed. I was so looking forward to the shorter travel distance, savings of gasoline, and being able to teach where Isaiah is going to go to school, getting out earlier in the day, and being closer to Caleb and Jacob's schools to see their sports activities.
The up side is that I work with such a wonderful team. I could not ask for a better bunch of ladies to have on my team. I love my school, my administration is so supportive, and I would deeply miss my current students. Now I won't have to miss any of these things; I just get to keep enjoying the wonderful job and people I am surrounded with daily.
God's still workin' on me to make me what I ought to be. It took him just a week to make the moon and the stars, the sun and the earth and Jupiter, and Mars. How loving and patient He must be, cause He's still workin' on me. - Song by Joel Hemphill

No news is good news?!
I'm on pins and needles. I was told that I should hear something about the teaching position I interviewed for last week, TODAY. Today is gone. The suspense is SO frustrating. I'm trying to stay positive and patient - not my best attribute. Please keep the prayers going up.

To Stay or Not to Stay, That is the Question...
I am currently in need of God's direction and your prayers.
I have a job interview tomorrow with a local Jr. High for a history position. It would allow me to teach in the same district that my children are in and be closer to home. I would also get home earlier. I have learned that there are over 20 applicants for this position.
There is also a job fair for this school district on Thursday evening. There is a brand new elementary school being built at the entrance of our subdivision. This is where Isaiah will go to school next year. The school has K-5th grade. This school is about two minutes from my house and would allow me to be with Isaiah for two years.
In addition to this - I am currently teaching at an AWESOME school. My administration is wonderful and supportive. I have been there for seven years. Because we are a "looping" school (teach the same children for 5th & 6th grades) I am currently in the middle of a loop. I am deeply attached to my students. Last but not least, I work with the most incredible team of teachers anyone could ask for. We work together wonderfully and they are not just my team mates but my friends. Do I dare risk losing all of this?
