This week has been Teacher Appreciation Week. I have been completely overwhelmed by the generosity of our students and parents. I have received flowers, plants, candy, snacks, drinks, candles, soaps, lotions, gift cards, notes, etc.... It has been a true blessing.

Today I had my interview with the principal and history department chair at our local Jr. High. They were very nice and did their best to make me feel at ease. I felt terrible. I felt as if everything I said sounded totally stupid. Even though I love the job where I am, I am still dealing with a rejected feeling. They were very positive even if I'm not. They said they would let me know sometime next week.

Today was our LC Park Day. We left with the students from our school at 9 a.m. and walked to a local park. The wonderful homeroom mothers had gotten many activites together for the kids to do. Mostly they just ran and played. After lunch we walked back to the school around 12:15 p.m.
I rushed home after school was over to freshen up and change clothes and then headed off to the local school district job fair. I went to apply with the new elementary school that is opening up outside our subdivision. I ended up waiting for over two hours to finally meet/screening interview with someone. It was well worth the wait. I was one of the last ones to be seen. The people were very nice and encouraging.
I took home a brochure of the new school since this is where my youngest will be attending school next year. He was so excited. He kept reading it over and over. He made of his own tune to the school song that was printed in it. He slept with it and woke up the next morning still reading it. He is so excited about next year.

Wow! Today and tonight were a whirlwind. I rushed home from my school to pick up my middle son to take him to his Athletics banquet at the Jr. High at 6p.m. When I arrived home I ran from the van into the house grabbed the new clothes, changed at the speed of superman, grabbed a shirt for Dustin to change into at the school where he was meeting us. The other two boys decided they wanted to attend as well. It was a nice evening with a spaghetti dinner/awards/and a fundraising auction.
Tomorrow will be basketball - What am I saying? It already is tomorrow. Today will be a day of basketball. Mother's Day will be as well. Jacob has a tournament on Sunday.
Here's to waiting to see what each new day will bring.....Don't blink!
