On Friday, Feb. 27th, 2009 Dustin turned 40. He is such a wonderful gift from God.I have been blessed to have shared twenty-three of those forty years with Dustin. Here are a FEW of the monumental moments that I've been able to witness in his life during our twenty-three years together.
- Senior Year Homecoming for both of our high schools
- Senior Prom for both of our high schools
- High School Graduation
- Marriage
- Birth of our first child, DJ (Dustin Cash, Jr.)
- Death of our first child, DJ
- Birth of our second son
- College Graduation
- First teaching job
- Completing a Marathon
- Mentoring boys who didn't have fathers
- Awarded the "You Make a Difference Award" by Alief ISD
- Birth of our third son
- Buying our first home
- Birth of our fourth son
- Awarded the "Teacher of the Year Award" at Barbara Bush Elementary by Conroe ISD
- Being called into the ministry as a children's pastor
- Baptizing children and families that were once former students
- Baptizing all three of our boys
- Conducting his first wedding ceremony
- Conducting his first funeral - A baby boy (This was very personal since we had too)
The Children's ministry staff had a surprise party for him and thankfully I was able to attend. They also blessed him with a new Bible that they had all signed and written favorite Bible verses. They also blessed him with a gift card and a cross that was made from huge nails.
Thank you God for allowing me to share this journey with Dustin.
